Koji Wada (b. 1974) is a Japanese singer and songwriter who debuted in 1999 with the single "Butter-Fly".  Along with AiM, he is part of the duo KALEIDO☆SCOPE.  Wada is known for songs featured as Digimon theme songs.  He is currently housed under King Records, and he has been touring selectively across the globe.  ¶ One of my guilty pleasures in high school was what I thought to be a Pokemon rip-off, Digimon.  I was so wrong.  The aforementioned show is less about story and more about selling video games whereas the latter, while still guilty of unabashed commercialism, was far more developed and often touching.  Maybe a year or so ago, I finally got to see the original Japanese version, which is undoubtedly better.  The theme song itself is a major improvement as it's actually a song and not some weird chant (as heard in the English dub).  "Butter-Fly" immediately grabs you with its infectious and fun poppy rock sound.
