Taiwanese singer Bibi Chao, or Zhao Zhi Bi, was born in 1973.  She started off as the lead singer of the band Scrap Metal, but they disbanded in 1999.  In 2001, she made her solo debut.  She wouldn't return until 2005 with her final recording, an indies EP called Ta You Ni Yao De.  ¶  Another random yet good find.  I'm trying to nab Scrap Metal's album from eMule (argh) so I'll probably have that in a year or two.  People shouldn't confuse this Bibi with Bibi Zhou (I've never heard her music actually).  "Ta You Ni Yao De" leads initial listeners to believe they're in for another Chinese slow jam.  However, it bursts into a grinding rock ballad around the one minute mark.  Darker in mood, but still commercial.
